There are about 7,000,000,000 people on our planet.

It means, that each of us can make 6,999,999,999 friends.

For Russia With Love

It is a photo project about people, friendship and love.

This survey was made by Levada Center, a Russian non-governmental research organization, on January 2015.

The survey was conducted throughout Russia in both urban and rural settings.

The survey was carried out by 1,600 people over the age of 18, in 134 locations in 46 of the country’s regions.

The answer distribution is presented as the percentage of the number of participants, along with data from previous surveys.

The statistical error of these studies does not exceed 3.4%.

Within the past several years, many Russians started thinking that all Americans are antagonistic towards Russia and Russians. I read their opinions on Russian social media, listen to them on the radio and even hear from my people personally. Today they think that we cannot be friends with each other.

Thankfully, all these fears are far away from reality.

I know it firsthand :) I have already spent some time in Los Angeles and have met many wonderful people. People who know Russian culture better than some Russians do, who have whole Dostoevsky library at home or who consider Anna Kournikova as the most beautiful girl in the world.

So I bought a writing board and some markers and asked Americans to write their thoughts about Russia and Russians. As the result, I am able to take a photo of both - their image and their attitude towards my homeland.
